Every so often, someone comes into your life who simply makes things easier—someone whose dedication and passion make it an honor to work alongside them. Because our landscape team is seasonal, we often welcome new faces each spring. But for more than a decade, Hugo has been a constant presence, bringing his passion, precision, and signature smile to every project.

When I asked his manager, Matt, to sum up Hugo as both a person and an employee, his response was simple: “He’s the best.” From a work standpoint, Hugo is incredibly detail-oriented, with impeccable stonework skills. As a person, he’s a reliable, kindhearted friend—funny, joyful, and a pleasure to be around. He is also a proud husband and father.

Hugo takes great pride in mentoring our younger landscape staff, always lending a hand and setting an example of efficiency, respect, and professionalism.

We are incredibly proud to have Hugo on our team and thrilled to celebrate his recent U.S. citizenship. We can’t wait to see what the next 10 years have in store.
