It's that time of year again to celebrate Pantone's color of the year, and this year's signature color is Peach Fuzz, PANTONE 13-1023. According to Pantone, Peach Fuzz "captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It's a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul." We've curated pieces that embody all things peach and that would be wonderful to incorporate into your everyday design and specialty entertaining tablescapes this year.

Keep it Warm

When designing with a color, that specific color should create a mood. Peach is a color that inherently evokes warmth. Candlelight alone can bring about a warm peach color, and adding in peach decor only enhances that feeling. A variety of bud vases with peach flowers or even a stack of books with peach cover art is a simple way to add in shades of peach. Designing within a color palette allows you to introduce lighter and deeper shades of the same color.

Designing with Floral

Focusing on flowers alone, there are amazing floral varieties to choose from in the peach family that can be a design focal point. Peach anthurium is a tropical cut flower that is part of the arum family, Araceae. Another great option, the Juliet garden rose is a signature garden rose. Its cupped shape with ruffled petals makes it a unique garden rose, one that almost resembles a ranunculus. Toffee roses are Ecuadorian roses in warm shades of toffee and caramel. Although not peach colored, this earth-toned rose brings out the warm tones when paired with other peachy flowers.

Accenting Peach Tones

To add dimension to your mono-peach toned design, try introducing complimentary colors. Keeping the color wheel in mind, the opposite of peach is a light blue. We accented our design with a floral motif linen in a light blue. We have also added in accent flowers in a light purplish-blue to bring dimension to our piece.
