fleurdetroit is deeply passionate about the organizations we choose to partner with. As pet lovers ourselves, our connection with Michigan Humane has always felt natural. For over a decade, we’ve proudly supported their mission to improve the lives of animals and strengthen the bond between pets and people.

On October 12, at Detroit’s Eastern Market, Michigan Humane hosted their 36th Annual Bow Wow Brunch—an event fleurdetroit has sponsored for more than ten years. This year’s theme centered on the animal’s journey through Michigan Humane, highlighting the organization’s far-reaching impact from pet to community.

The Bow Wow Brunch is one of Michigan Humane’s most anticipated fundraising events, celebrating the organization’s daily impact across our region and beyond. Attended by more than 650 supporters, the brunch honors the individuals, corporations, and foundations whose generosity and commitment make this vital work possible.

This year’s event raised over $1.5 million, supporting expanded resources, programming, and care for animals in need throughout Michigan.

Working in partnership with Tola Corporate Events, fleurdetroit helped bring the event to life with a lush, floral, and plant-filled atmosphere. Inspired by the National Park theme, our design team transformed the space into a natural, welcoming environment—complete with our signature mossy dog topiaries, a guest favorite year after year.

From concept to completion, it was a rewarding creative challenge that beautifully reflected the shared values of both organizations: compassion, creativity, and community.
