The magic that struck in September so many years ago…Over a decade ago, in the very month of September, Joe and I decided to begin collecting, importing, and more importantly curating a collection of garden ornament for use in our landscape projects. This initial trip to Europe was the jumping off point for fleurdetroit. We wanted to create a space that evoked a welcoming energy for all to experience design through our eyes.

Our summer floral collection is full of bright, bold color and an overall cheery aesthetic. There are four different designs, in varying sizes perfect for any occasion from birthday gifts, to anniversary, to ‘just because.’

Keeping our furry friends safe from toxic house plants is a responsibility we all have. But you don’t have to sacrifice great plants to have a curious pet safe home. Below are a few of our favorite house plants that are also safe for your dog and cat if they happen to munch a leaf or stem.

Designing a wedding can be overwhelming but still incredibly fun. The day is a blank slate and sometimes thinking outside the box can have beautiful results.

Our long anticipated Italian terracotta has arrived at fleurdetroit. From order to arrival, this shipment took a year to make its way across the ocean from Italy, but was well worth the wait.

Terrariums have been around for many years and have recently made a comeback in interior design trends. These easy-to-make and maintain decorative gardens have endless possibilities and fit in all design aesthetics.
